You should have verified the original return...... Unless you e verify the original return (or any other return for that matter ), it wont be considered at all ....so , though original return has been filed and submitted , the original return hasn't been considered since it has not been verified ...

Sir ,my friend filled the itr of fy 2020-2021 previous year. But he didn't get
the refund.he got a message respond for refund cofimation.And
he want to revise the return as he did some mistake in original itr.

He cannot revise since the time period of filing revised returns is over , better in such cases he meets the assessing officer to get things rectified .....
