In such cases, what one must do is submit rectification to intimation order and opt for "Taxpayer changing information" . I advise that you meet the assessing officer and seek for manual rectification of the details. He shall oblige.

Basically what it means is that if you are showing income of 100 rs , you cannot claim deduction benefit of anything over 100 ...apparently your GTI ( Gross total income ) is less than the deduction benefit you are trying to claim...correct that and you shall be okay

Absolutely not, after submitting the return (ITR 1/2/3/4 ) online, you are only supposed to verify the return using e- verification or send a signed copy of the acknowledgement to the department ( within 120 days) so that the filed return ( ITR 1/2/3/4) can be processed......many people carry the m...Absolutely not, after submitting the return (ITR 1/2/3/4 ) online, you are only supposed to verify the return using e- verification or send a signed copy of the acknowledgement to the department ( within 120 days) so that the filed return ( ITR 1/2/3/4) can be processed......many people carry the misconception that the return has to be submitted or supporting documents have to be send along with the acknowledgement but the truth is that not even 1 piece of paper needs to be send .....if you are benefiting of a certain section that merits submission of online forms , then that has to filled and submitted online i.e form 10 E for claiming arrear relief under section 89 etc etc .....
