You should have verified the original return...... Unless you e verify the original return (or any other return for that matter ), it wont be considered at all ....so , though original return has been filed and submitted , the original return hasn't been considered since it has not been verified ...You should have verified the original return...... i will advise e verifying the original return that was submitted initially so that it is considered ...Once done , revise the return once more (and e verify it on submission ) so that the late fee doesn't apply.....
In my own case also, i have filed submitted and verified original return before due date and then again submitted revised return under section 139(5) after due date and it has been processed without application of any late fee penalty.......
i will advise e verifying the original return that was submitted initially so that it is considered ...Once done , revise the return once more (and e verify it on submission ) so that the late fee doesn't apply.....

Thanks for all your videos in helping and educating us, I have a query in filling the Long term capital gains on debt funds.
1. Downloaded CAMS capital gain statement and the statement is showing long term gains without indexation, Can i consider LTCG with indexation to lower my tax or not while filling CG schedule..? Moreover many redemption rows are empty but still showing gains both short term and long term..? (Pls refer screenshot 1)
LTCG without indexation: cost of acquisition: 61,884 and sale value: 74017 am i correct or not..? I will calculate with indexation so that cost of acquisition will increase so that my gains will be reduced..(refer screenshot 1 )
2. CG statement showing long term with indexation but how can they take indexation when purchase price is zero, how do they calculate indexation as cost of acquisition is zero. Can i consider the 2426rs as LTCG without indexation so that only 10% taxation. (refer screenshot 2)
