HELLO i have a question regarding 26ASin the FY 2013-2014 the the tax deucted and the tds credited are not similar. So i want to know the rectification process

You are not required to rectify ,. Take it up with the deductor and show them a copy of the 26 AS ... Ask them to correct the TDS return uploaded by them for the corresponding quarter so that the correct figures reflect in your tax credit statement( 26 AS)

You are right in your understanding ...Whatever interest has been credited has to be shown in income under other sources ...
Best way to know about this is to download your tax credit form 26 AS which will clearly show how much interest has been credited and how much TDS has been deducted

Dear Amlan - Thanks for reply. I checked Form 26 AS (IT website) and can only see details of TDS deducted by my employer. I didnt find TDS from FD in it. FD income is treated as other sources . So , since the individual scope of total income is being represented by other sources , you need a return where you have this income schedule .
