When I try to upload return for the AY 14-15 I get a system generated error report: The end date for filling this ITR is over.

It is not a error ...it is correct ,,, for any year , the last date for filing returns is one year from the end of the assessment year ...so for FY 2013 14 (Assessment year 2014 15 ), the last date for filing returns would be 31st March 2016 and today is 27th April 2016 ...so , clearly last date is ...

Selection of a return depends on person type and income head. Here person is individual and income is from business .

Individual will select ITR 4 if he decides to file return on normal basis or ITR 4S if he decided to file return on presumptive basis
