For preposession period , you cannot claim any benefit of principal component towards loan repayment ..

As far as interest component is concerned, you can take benefit in 5 equal installments starting year of possession ...note that the benefit plus the present year benefit cannot exceed the limits ...

Hi Amlan, my uncle is a govt employee he got arrear of RS 148020 in FY 2017-18 which is related from FY 2006-07 to FY 2016-17.Mean while in the FY 2009-10 he got some arrear related to FY 2008-09 and FY 2007-08 for which he got relief of 89 in the FY 2009 10 (AY 2010-11)

You can physically sign and send the acknowledgement ...in the meantime register aadhar with some number ...once it is done , e-verify using aadhar OTP as well ...Don't repeat questions again in the site

It is totally exempt and you can show it under exempt income reporting section using any other field and depict it as per the attached picture

It is totally exempt and you can show it under exempt income reporting section using any other field and depict it as per the attached picture<br /><br />Note - CBDT has given clarifications that disability pension received by armed forces is exempt from tax. Via Instruction No 136F.No. 34/3/68-IT(AI),dated the 14th Jan 1970, CBDT said that entire disability pension paid to officers of the Indian Army shall be exempt from tax.<br /><br />Disability pension may sometimes comprise of a disability element as well as a service element; the department has clarified both such components are exempt from tax. (via F. No. 200/51/00-ITA-1 dt. 02.7.2001)<br /><br />Also, no TDS should be deducted on disability pension paid to pensioners of the armed forces
