Hi Amlam,

I came with one more query, We are a firm and we are planning to pay Rs.300,000/- to our employee as marriage gift.
so amount received for the occasion of marriage is exempt or not or we need to deduct some tds for the same?

It is exempt under section 10 ....any income which is exempt , deductor is not required to deduct any TDS ...as such you will deduct no TDS .

You can file belated return under section 139(4) for FY 2013 14 until 31st March 2016 for ....whether penalty is applicable shall remain at the discretion of the assessing officer......
