1)If Mr. B have a own property but he lives in rented house then is he able to exemption or claim on HRA?

2) When Mr. B claiming HRA i.e. when he filing the return then is he should be provide any proof to income tax department for HRA exemption?

Here are answer to your queries ,

1.) Yes , he is eligible ...there is no connection between owning house ( income head is house property head) and HRA ( income head is salary head ) since the heads are different ...so one can claim salary head allowances definitedly while having own house property

Thank you sir, thank you so much for your kind information but sir can you confirm me one thing I need to send the hard copy of Rent receipt when I will send ITR - V to Bangalore CPC or not? If not then when I have send the Rent receipt hard copy to My Assessing officer?

Section is quite in this , so i presume you can take the benefit of doubt ..for section 80 C , it is very clear that interest repayment cannot be used as deduction unless construction is complete , but section 80 EE doesn't specify anything w.r.t under construction properties , , but yes other eligi...

Amlan thanks for the reply..If such is the case yes I do fall on the eligibility sections. So it means I can claim this tax benefit under section 80EE even if its a under construction property..thats awesome !!
