  • Exempt HRA when not shown in Form 16
have one question, my employer not shown my HRA in form 16, could you please let me know how to fill the returns? This is due to the reason that, I am staying in the rented house though I have let out my house (taken through home loan) in same city... Kindly help...

But I have filed and submitted the return before paying the tax ... So, now I need to revised it or what and show the challan details...

Yes, the original return filed shall be treated as defective now you shall revise the return and fill all details again including schedule IT for taxes paid .....select category properly to avoid category query deletion....check answer options - video for this answer to see process for revision of...

Say you have paid taxes of 100 Rs as self assessment tax , your question is that the return still shows tax payable as 100 Rs ....you are therefore not just required to pay but also required to take credit in schedule IT for the taxes paid( in the challan receipt you shall details for BSR code, chal...
