Hi,

I worked in a government job for around 35 years and retired last year. I have received a lumpsum amount from my GPF(General Provident Fund) and I need to declare it in my IT Returns. I see that there are three categories of PF under section 10
Statuatory PF,
Recognized PF,

No, i haven't done any excel computation for this ...but the normal formula can be put in excel and arrears relief arrived at ...next time be careful to select query category properly

  • How to show salary arrears in return
Hi, Amlan,
Where should I show my 7PC arrears in this year ITR1 form.
Shall I show whole arrears in non-exempt allowance??
or I have to break this arrears into basic + allowance and mention in the ITR1 accordingly.

Kindly suggest.

If you don't get any breakup from company ( which is normally the case) , you can show the whole arrears under non exempt allowances keeping 12 months basic pay under salary head ....but there is a very simple way of doing it .......Look at your form 16 for guidance ... ...Here, under point 1a de...

Yes, this is a common query. You can surely claim eligible HRA benefit at the time of filing.
