If original return has already been submitted , then yes you shall first e-verify it and then file a fresh revised return doing all corrections...this is called filing a revised return ....everything remains same except the section i.e 139(5) ...when you e verify the original return , you will get ...

You can use ITR 1 to represent your scope of taxable income since salary head is present in ITR 1.....it doesn't matter whether salary exceeds 50 lakhs or not ....
