if I have salary income + income from shares sale (short term) then which ITR should filed?
if I have salary income + income from derivatives trading then which ITR should filed?

Selection of return depends on income head such that the return should contain those income heads for the assessee to be in a position to fill the return !

1.) For salary , shares sale - This heads of salary and capital gain are available in ITR 2 and so that should suffice

If it is not registered as business, she can show it under income from other sources and file return ITR 1 simply (see my tutorial in this regard)..alternatively, if she has registered as business/profession , she can show it as income from profession and actually take benefit if new section 44ADA....

Fill in consideration ( sale) value and acquisition price (cost)...difference would automatically translate to gain/loss

If it is not getting set off , then the schedule Carry forward loss (CFL) would automatically pull entries from this schedule
