Dear Sir,

I have not filed the income tax return A.Y 2014-15 but tds is deducted by my employer. now i got a notice on my income tax account.
What Do I do?
Which option to select from Information relates to.
Please tell me.

Well , due date for filing return for assessment year 2014 15 is over ...you can file compliance for non filing and mention that due date is over ....there is nothing much one can anyways do after return filing date is over ...since you have received a notice , so you have to file online compliance ...

Say , HRA paid by company 6000*12=72000 hra

Actual rent paid -> 8000*12=96000

Dear Sir
If the total rent payment for the FY-2015-16 is Rs. 2,40,000/-, then would the TDS be Rs. 24,000/- (10% of Rs. 2,40,000/-) or would it be Rs. 6,000/- (10% of Rs. 2,40,000/- minus Rs. 1,80,000/-)

TDS has to be on rent value only , so it shall be on 2,40,000 ...Since rent , so at the rate of 10 % of 2,40,000 i.e 24000 Rs ...but tell me one thing where did you get this 1,80,000 and other stuff from ????

Forget it , don't even bother , just know that in case of rent , TDS is 10 % of 2,40,000...
