Return is usually filed under sections and subsection of 139 ...139(1) if filed on or before due date , 139(5) if revision is done to original return,139(4) for belated return.etc etc

Return is usually filed under sections and subsection of 139 ...139(1) if filed on or before due date , 139(5) if revision is done to original return,139(4) for belated return.etc etc <br /><br />Now , notice under section 142(1) is for purpose of seeking assessment <br />It has three clauses (i),(ii), and (iii)<br /><br />Notice under 142(1)(i) is served on the individual to file return of income when the individual has failed to do so whereas notice under the other two clauses 142(1)(ii) and 142(1)(iii) is served when return has been filed but AO wants to do scrutiny assessment with respect to the return of income filed.<br /><br />Please understand difference between notice served under section 143(2) and 142(1) (ii) or 142(1)(iii)<br /><br />Notice under 143(2) can only be served when return of income has been filed whereas notice under 142(1) can be served irrespective of whether assesse has filed return or not <br /><br /><br />The time limit for serving notice under 143(2) is 6 months from the end of the financial year in which return of income has been filed <br />Whereas the time limit for serving notice under 142(1) is only after expiry of time limit for filing return of income<br /><br />As explained therefore , when return is not filed at all, the the assessing officer may serve notice for filing under section 142(1)(i) <br />That time, assesse may file return using 142(1) <br />(Check attached screenshot)<br /><br />See this tutorial<br />- https://youtu.be/uE5DQAKbuoo<br />.

My query is regarding ROC form 32, actually we have lost the original copy of form 32. how can we get the duplicate copy of the same. I asked to a CS, he was asking for his profession fees as well as Rs. 100 for govt. charges. Can we get it without CS help?
