  • Taxability of PF - Withdrawal before 5 years
Dear Amlan,
as per ur vdo tutorial, Recognized PF is fully taxable if some1 withdraws d balanced before 5yrs of continuous service. howevr my ex employer told me tat only the portion of employer's contribution +interest is taxable. can u plz clarify this?thnx in advance

If PF is withdrawn before 5 years it would be taxed as given below.

1.) Employer contribution and interest thereon
Basically, the employer’s contribution and interest thereon would be fully taxable under salary head

Yes, one can pay self assessment tax using others netbanking as well ,,,while filling challan 280 , you have to fill in correct PAN details ...the PAN holder will get the credit of the self assessment tax paid using netbanking through challan ( whosoever netbanking credentials it may be)

As checked, my tds was start deducted from Sept 17 after getting an increment. So in 26 as the salary paid/credited is 214438 (which is from sept month) instead of Total gross 448072 as per form 16 and my income chargeable under head salary is 366105 after calculating. so what shoul...

You are required to fill chargeable income in TDS schedule ...take up with employer for TDS correction so that the gross salary paid starts reflecting in 26 as...check video answer option

Check ITR filing status ...if it is not processed yet, then your Form 10 e shall be considered else best is to revise return ( to be safe on all accounts)
