Simply file ITR 1 and put in bank interest income under other sources ...if such is less than threshold level , then the return shall compute nil tax ....so all deducted TDS details of which you need to fill in the return will be refunded to the bank account details mentioned in the return ...check ...

Usually old returns are filed as a response to an income tax notice.

Returns cannot be filed after belated period is over ...under such cases nothing can be done to file old returns whose filing period is over

I have filled ITR 1 online for A.Y. 2015-16 before two days under section before due date, for NIL Return and E-Verified return.

But, It should be return under section after due date whereas I have submitted under section before due date.

What will happen now. Pl. guide me.

This is first time when i am trying to submit my income tax return AY 2016-17 by myself. But unfortunately i made some mistakes.

I just upload ITR-1 to the portal before paying the tax, but i did not verify it yet.
