Sir,
IS it possible to change the ITR form from ITR 1 which was originally filed to ITR 2 through rectification if one has chosen wrong itr form intially while filing the return for AY 2014-2015.

Yes , one can ...one must use the option "taxpayer correcting data " and then file fresh return and upload rectified xml for the filled correct return ...if return was filed before due date , one can also revise but within time periods

I am doing PhD from NIT Bhopal. I am getting 25,000 + 20% HRA (Total = 30,000) per month as stipend from government. Under section 10(16) of the income taz Act, 1961, I am exempted from payment of income tax.

Should I file NIL ITR ? if yes then which ITR form I should fill out?
