Hi Amlan,

I have contributed Rs. 60201 towards NPS and I have also paid premium for Rs. 102000. Now my question is can I claim 50000 deduction under contribution towards NPS [u/s 80CCD(1B)] and remaining 10201 under 80CCD and 102000 premium under 80C ?

I asssume that you are talking of FY 2015 16 (AY 2016 17 )

(Earlier for FY 2014-15 (assessment year 2015-16)Total Deduction under Section 80C, 80CCC and 80CCD(1) could not exceed Rs 1,50,000.)

MY UNCLE'S ITR STATUS SHOWS THAT SEND TO ASSESSING OFFICER. WHAT WILL BE DO? WHICH PAPER SHOULD NEED TO GO TO A.O. MY UNCLE IS SAHARA AGENT AND HE GOT COMMISSION IN CASH . SO THIS IS NOT IN BANK PASSBOOK STATEMENT. PLZ SUGGEST. MY ENGLISH IS POOR .

He needs to do nothing ....after a few days the return will be processed and it will be shown that ITR (income tax return i.e ITR 1/2 etc whatever was submitted by your dad ) has been processed....
