hi amlan,
my 26 as and trace shows correct TDS statement. but when i start quick e file, it shows less TDS (not showing last 3 months tax) . fin yr 2015-16
what to do???

Edit the tax return form for the prefilled portion with respect to the TDS schedule and fill correct TDS figures as appearing in 26 AS ...whatever is appearing in 26 AS as tax credit for deducted TDS , that can be claimed ...usually prefilling fails at times to capture the last 3 months TDS detail'...

For financial year 2015-16, Section 80 EE unfortunately is not available. These are applicable starting financial year 2016-17 onwards again as cleared in budget

You are thinking in the right way
If you are withdrawing PF before 5 years, then all the years for which you claimed deduction benefit will get added as income in the current year

Hi Amlan

I had capital gain from equity mutual fund but it was a long term , As you know , For long term investment there is no tax applicable
Can i submit ITR-1 instead of ITR -2 ?

Yes , you are right , LTCG on equity mutual fund is exempt . You can use ITR 1 and declare exempt income from the LTCG in the exempt income reporting section.
