Dear Amlan,

First and foremost, my sincere compliments to you for the selfless zeal you display in trying to "make knowledge free" and very patiently spending so much of your valuable time in helping others out in tax matters without any expectations in return. I am very impressed by your commitment which is nothing short of a "mission"! I also very much like your video presentation and style of speaking which comes out as spontaneous and warm, thus putting the listener at ease and assuring him/her that its not all that complicated, in such an intimidating subject as tax. Hats off to you!

Now for some queries. While registering on the income tax e-filing website
i) Can the same mobile number and email address be given for two or more closely related individuals? eg. Can a man register himself and his (major) son with the same mobile and email address? Or Husband, wife and their major son/daughter?
ii) Can NRI give international mobile number?

iii) Which ITR form is to be used by a resident if there are only two sources of income a) rental income from two "commercial properties" (small shops) and b) interest on FDs ?

iv) For rent from shops, can the municipal taxes be deducted to get net annual value and then 30% standard deduction on NAV to get taxable income from these commercial properties?

v) What happens if one has inadvertently forgotten to pay any advance tax and the TDS deducted on FDs is not adequate to cover full tax due on account of other sources of income for which there was no TDS?

vi) Does any outstanding tax (in the above case) have to be paid with interest & penalty before filing returns? If so, what are the rates of interest and penalty?

vii) Do we have to give a list of all our bank accounts while filing returns?

viii) Where can I find all the latest rules/clauses/sections etc. about tax for the FY 2015-2016 given out by the Income tax authorities or any other website given in a better and simplified format than the official IT dept. website ? (So that I can first read them and ask you for only that information which is not included there or is not clearly stated there)

Return is merely to present scope of taxable income ...ITR 3 has income schedule for partner income and that can very well be used ...
For any other business income , ITR 3 cannot be used
There is nothing like using ITR 3 only for sleeping partner etc

In this case ITR 3 can be used ...obviously ITR 4...

Since accounts are closed, so it means that you are not presently holding them.
So obviously , you will not mention accounts which you don't hold at present in a "present holding column"
