Hi, I am filling ITR 1 where Gross salary was 5.5 lac p.a., excess TDS has been deducted. There is a refund of 18K. I have filled up the numbers in ITR 1 online. But stuck in submission stage.
My query is : As there is a refund so shall I have to send ITR V to CPC center OR I can do e verification??

This is your choice that you will send ITR-V or do e-verified of your return. As per my suggestion e verification is better than sending ITR-V. Return can be process in 3 tax status as like 1. It is better that you e verify ...besides , sending acknowledgement /e-verification it is not a optional thing ...until you do the same your return won't be processed and with that your refund as well.

You are not able to file your income tax return for AY 2014-2015. Last date of belated return for the ay 2014-2015 was 31.3.2016 which has been gone. So forget about that return. If you have received any notice about that return kindly contact your assessing officer.

alternatively you can file your AY 14-15 through offline mode , provided you should write a letter to the department the reasons for non filing and why you want to file the return now ( i.e to claim the TDS credit or any other reasons ) and file the return through offline mode .

hello sir my frnd filed itr 1 for ay -2015-16 on 20-09-15 and having the refund also but till date the status showing in itax site return uploaded. sir plz tell the solution for getting refund back for itr 1 for ay.2015-16. also he have fled return for ay. 2016-17 on 29-07-16. thank plz revert.

This is to inform you that now you are not able to send ITR-V to CPC Bangalore for the ay 2015-2016 because ITR-V has to submit withing 120 days from date of transmitting the data electronically. i.e. final answer is <br />1) for ay 2015-2016 -<br /> You are not able to send that ITR-V. Please upload your return again before the deadline on 31.3.2017 and send acknowledge copy(ITR-V) to CPC bangalore or verified your return.<br /><br />2) For AY 2016-2017<br /> Please send that same acknowledgement copy(ITR-V) to CPC Bangalore. <br /><br />Please note that if you e verified your return by atm(SBI, Axis), net banking or Dsc then you don't need to send acknowledgement(ITR-V) to CPC bangalore. Thank you.

Let's fill a new fresh belated return under section 139(4) for ay 2015-2016 and send ITR-V to Bangalore. Don't forget to sign on ITR-V. Other wise that will be rejected.

Forget your first ay 15-16 return.
