  • How to fill ITR
I would like to file ITR 1 using details of previous ITR. However when I try to download the prefilled xml from the portal , only AY 18-19 is available. I cannot get an option for AY19-20.

You cannot prefill AY 2019 20 using XML of AY 2018 19 ...you can surely prefill directly from AY 2019 20 using several options .....XML is specefic to the relevant assessment year only ......prefilling to some extent is automatic i.e tax details is prefilled from 26 AS ....PAN , NAME , DOB , Aadhar ...

sir I am a work contractor my TDS is deducted is Rs 7573 against amount credited Rs 757268 can I apply for a refund and how much income will I show?

This is contractual income of 757268 ...You can show permissible expenses, if any to arrive at taxable income ...tax shall be calculated as per slabs on taxable income ...If TDS deducted more than that , you will qualify for refund ...can't explain calculation etc

Can i revise return form ITR-1 for Assessment year 2018 -19..The return has been processed and i have received the refund as well...

Once a return has been processed, it cannot be revised ...For AY 2018 19 , section 139(5) , return can be revised till 31 March 2019, or before the assessment happens, whichever is earlier.

Since here return processed and refund already initiated, return cannot be revised.

I am a PSU retiree, in my form 16 , all of salary /pension,gratuity ,Leave encashment ,commutation of pension is included showing total of 34 Lakh. However, I also got PF on retirement for 30 lakhs which is not shown in form 16 .

I would advise you to watch my video on how to file ITR for retired person ....you can take a ITR 1 and fill it based on what you have in your form 16 showing salary income comprised of all components as received ...you can then show the exempt portions in the reporting section where you should be c...
