Demand under section 143(1)a

Hello sir,

I filed my IT for AY 2016-17 on Feb 2018, but i mistakenly entered a wrong tax deducted amount against a particular Form-16 TAN (I have 2 Form-16 one from previous and current employer)

Now i received a demand notice asking to pay tax of 17,010.00 due to tax miscredit for that financial...

Basically, you had tax credit available to you but it was disallowed because of wrong amount claimed/ TAN .........In such case, you have to apply for rectification ...if system is not permitting for earlier previous year , go and meet the assessing officer ...also try E nivaran desk for raising a ...

Demand under section 143(1)a

Good Morning Sir,
my query is
a salaried person not mention his interest income in itr-1 , He received a INTIMATION U/S 143(1) OF THE INCOME TAX ACT, 1961 from the department whose responses were given in the same month but forgot, now he has got a demand letter of 154, what should he do and how?

I think , he is agreeing to the demand ...in case , that is true, he is required to pay the demand using challan 280 ...That's all there is to it ...

Next time be careful to select question category properly else entry shall be deleted ...also question without categories shall not be answered.......
